Action 28:
Become an educated parent

Launched November 17

Understanding the dangers of online predators is important for the safety of your child and others. One in six endangered runaways reported to The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) in 2016 were likely sex trafficking victims. 86% of these likely sex trafficking victims were in the care of social services or foster care when they went missing.

  • Monitor your child's online activity.
  • Talk with your child about the potential for harm on the internet.
  • Familiarize yourself with NCMEC's CyberTipline
