Action
Learn
Many products we use regularly come from countries which do not have the capacity or political will to prevent forced labor. Increasing awareness of exploitation in supply chains and efforts by advocacy groups are helping reduce this abusive practice.
Respond
- Identify one of your favorite apparel companies and investigate its supply chain.
- Make one change in your consumer practices to reflect your support of supply chain transparency. This could be switching stores or clothing brands, shopping at thrift shops or purchasing food from local food markets.
- Start a letter writing campaign to the CEO of a company with poor supply chain monitoring and ask that appropriate action be taken.
