Action
Learn
Small anti-trafficking organizations, usually operating on very lean budgets, depend heavily on volunteers. Volunteers can sign up for one-time projects or long-term activities. It is a good way to meet likeminded people, learn new skills and even find a job.
Respond
- Identify two or three anti-trafficking organizations and reach out to their volunteer coordinator or executive director. Set a goal to start volunteering by a specific date!
- Be clear about your interests. Chances are that it will be easier to stay involved if you volunteer for something you like to do.
- Be honest about your availability. When you make a commitment, stick to it. Your work is important!
